Thermal Platforms
ESS has been making Thermal Platforms since 1989 and has the experience to provide you with the models that meet your needs. Also known as thermal plates, hot plates, cold plates, hot/cold plates, etc., Thermal Platforms are used primarily to conductively heat & cool electronic components, but can also be used to conductively heat and cool anything that requires fast, precise heating and cooling, over very wide temperature ranges, and with high heat removal capacities and ramps.
Space Simulation
ESS’s Space Simulation Thermal Chambers, or SSTCs, provide high vacuum testing of components, while offering those components heating and cooling by direct conduction. They are very fast to vacuum, portable, and very cost-effective solutions, in operating and purchase costs, for testing components that must be thermally screened and subjected to high altitude/high vacuum/space environments. Pressures of 10-6 Torr/mBar and temperatures of -80° C to +175° C are typical.
Cascade Condensers
ESS’s Cascade Condensers offer heat removal capacities ranging from 100 watts (341 BTU) to 10 kW (34.1 kBTU), and saturated suction temperatures (SSTs) as low -104° C (-155° F). Larger heat removal capacities are possible using multiple ESS cascade condensers in tandem, and ESS provides a wide range of packaging and control options to meet your needs.
Liquid Recirculating Chillers
ESS’s Liquid Recirculating Chillers are based upon our Cascade Condensers, as described just to the left, with similar heat removal capacities and saturated suction temperatures (SST). The actual temperature of the fluid exiting the chiller will be slightly higher than the SST temperature, due to the required heat exchanger’s losses, but fluid temperatures as low as -95° C (-139° F) are available.
